Who Is Rausch Coleman Homes?
April 29, 2020
Rausch Coleman Homes is a home builder headquartered in Fayetteville, although you have to go back a few years to know our roots. Ernest R. Coleman, or "Buddy" as he's become known around here, was born in 1936 and built his very first house in 1955 at just 19 years old. He would go on to build many more homes for families in the surrounding area. When asked why he chose the kind of houses he built, Buddy simply replied: “I wanted to ensure that everyone could realize the American Dream of Home Ownership, not just the fortunate ones.”
It wasn't until several years later (1992) when Buddy's grandson, 8-year-old John, would come alongside him to start learning the homebuilding trade. Over time, and with intentional mentorship and guidance, John learned the trade well and eventually built his first home at age 18 (one year sooner than his grandpa had). In 2006, John became the Chairman & CEO of Rausch Coleman Homes.
Today, with Mr. Rausch and Mr. Coleman still leading the charge, Rausch Coleman Homes is growing strong with just shy of 300 employees, and boasting a variety of communities across six states: Texas, Alabama, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and of course Arkansas. Builder Magazine has rated Rausch Coleman Homes as #36 on its list of Top 100 Builders in the United States in 2018.
